I wasn’t the griller of our family. My ex husband was. When I first moved here I didn’t realize here in Minnesota, people grill all year round. Hungry for a grilled burger, but it’s –20° along with a foot of snow outside. Not a big deal if you live in the Midwest!I was hoping to get some shots of myself grilling in our typical Minnesota winter snow, but guess what? We had hardly any snow this year so my post will have me using these tools in nice March weather. “Nice March weather” is really an oxymoron here!
Being that I wasn’t the griller, I had no tools to even grill. So, when I was sent the Mr. Bar-B-Q 12 Piece Tool Set that included a bonus meat thermometer, I was excited!! Don’t get between a girl and her tools!
- grill brush
- 4 skewers
- 4 corn holders
- bonus electronic barbecue fork
So far I’ve made steaks, burgers and pork chops the last couple weeks and this set has absolutely come in handy! Of course, it started with a good cleaning of the grate before I made steaks for the first time.
It’s not corn-on-the-cob season yet, so I’ll have to wait a while before I use the holders. I was thinking the next time I grill I’m going to get some veggies so I could try out the skewers because I’ve used all the other tools at this point. Well, except the barbeque fork. I haven’t tried that yet, either because of one of my other reviews that’ll be coming up!I also got the Mr. Bar-b-que 3 Compartment Stainless Condiment Tray. There are seriously so many options for this baby! If I ever have a ton of people over and we do some major grilling, I’ll put catsup, mustard, and relish in each compartment.
Mr. Bar-B-Q also has a 4 compartment and a 6 compartment set as well!! After we had our picnic, I just stuck the whole thing in my fridge and we ate out of it until all the fruit was gone. =)
Both of these items will be part of my Spring Grilling package for the Spring Fever event which will start April 15th!!
*I was sent both items for review and the opinions expressed are my own and never influenced by the company.
