Nature's Bakery Fig Bars & Giveaway

Can you believe that Spring is right around the corner? I know that we are all getting excited for the weather to start warming up! But we don't want to forget the month we're in. Anderson's Angels, This Mamas Life, The More The Merrier and Woven by Words, are very excited to bring you the Lucky Clover Giveaway Event! We've teamed up with over 20 other wonderful bloggers, to bring you another great giveaway event! Each blog has gathered a prize package worth $25 or more so be sure to visit each blog and enter!

And before I get too far into my post, let me just say I reached out to Nature's Bakery asking if they'd work with me and they agreed! I couldn't figure out where to insert this naturally to let you know I was working with them, and to share my story of beginning to work with them. So, there we go. Got that out of the way!

In January I headed to North Carolina for a week with our new company. It was a couple of days before I realized they had snacks sitting out for everyone. I wish I had taken a photo of the spread of food they had. It's hard to explain how thoughtful and considerate they were. It wasn't until the last day that I finally ventured over to see what they actually had to offer. I'd only been drinking the bottled water.

I looked through everything and a package caught my eye. Let me explain a quirk I have. I'm not a fan of buying a package of something unless I've tried it or it appeals to me so much with the packaging, I'm willing to give it a try. When I see something new and it even slightly appeals to me AND I don't have to pay for it, badabing, I'm on it.

I picked up the raspberry snack of Nature's Bakery Fig Bars. First, I've loved fig bars since I was a little girl. Not sure what it was about them, but loved them! I am extremely particular about certain things, and fig bars is one of them. If it doesn't taste like a fig bar, I won't take a second bite. Not kidding. And of course, if it has a "flavor" I'm bound to give it the stink eye.

Well, well, well let me just say, I was in fig bar heaven when I bit into my snack! It had the fig taste and feel, but with one of my favorite flavors, raspberry. I liked it so much, I took a picture of the packaging so I could start searching for them when I got back home. Admittedly, I kept the wrapper so I wouldn't forget as well. hahahahaha

I finally found a couple of boxes after some online searching. It wasn't easy because the first couple individual packages I found in a checkout line at a local grocery store. I finally found a couple of boxes at a different grocery store, and they were with the granola & breakfast bars. When I shared my new obsession on Instagram & Facebook, I had a lot of feedback that so many people loved these! I was like, where the heck have I been living, under a rock?!

I reached out to Nature's Bakery because I knew I probably would have a hard time finding more than a couple of flavors, and I honestly liked their bars so much, I knew it would be a perfect fit, especially with my working out. I want to have better snacks during my day and after my workouts.

They mentioned sending me a several flavors, but I never expected EIGHT!!! Oh my gosh, fig bar heaven! Cue the angels & harps.

I've been snacking on them over the past couple of weeks, and have sampled each of the varieties they sent. Turns out my fig bar loving daughter also snacked on them when I wasn't looking while she was here visiting. I should've hidden them. lol Of course, she went straight for the raspberry ones, too. Like mother like daughter!

Two bars come in each package. I usually eat one piece, and if I'm still hungry a little while later, go back for the second one. One piece is typically enough for the moment.

A little bit about these bars:

  • Non-GMO Project Verified
  • Stone Ground Whole Wheat
  • No Artificial Flavors or Colors
  • Soy Free
  • Dairy Free
  • Cholesterol Free
  • No High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • 0 Trans Fat
Nature's Bakery does have Gluten Free options as well. I don't have an issue with gluten, but I definitely want to try the pomegranate flavor! There's also a Brownie variety. I can get overwhelmed with chocolate so I bypassed the Brownie...BUT, there's a Mint flavor, and I may have to find those to try them out!

I was surprised at which ones became my favorites. Raspberry and strawberry are a given, but I loved the peach apricot. I was surprised I really liked that one. There's just a fresh, light taste about it that I was happy to discover. If you like blueberry, you'll definitely dig the blueberry fig bar. I'm going to send them to baseball practice with my son once he gets started next week.

What I like most about the flavors of all of the fig bars is that it's just a hint of flavor. You can still tell that it's a fig bar. The fig isn't lost in the flavors. Now, my only issue with these is that sometimes, like this afternoon, I'll eat the whole package even when I'm not hungry for both. lol I eat the first one, and even though I'm full, I still eat the second one. Then I end up overfull.

I'm giving away 5 boxes of Nature's Bakery Fig Bars to 1 lucky winner! You will not be disappointed! Be sure to enter the giveaway and then hop through all of the rest of them!
