Traveling To Lima, Peru & Giveaway Announcement

As of Sunday Fred and I are in Lima, Peru. This is my third time down, and I'm not sure when we'll be going back, so I'm going to soak as much in from this trip as I can! Each time we've gone to Peru it's been through our church's relationship with Camino de Vida, an extremely alive church down here.

The first time I went down, I think I brought a full sized suitcase full of clothing. I mean, I went packed to the gills. Last year when we went down, I only took a carry on, and brought more clothing than I needed! This year, I'm bringing FOUR full size suitcases and a carry on. hahahaha

Since I don't know if or when we'll get back to Peru, I'm going out with a bang, and wish I would've spread these four suitcases out over all three trips. I can't tell you how excited I am for what's inside these suitcase. I have gotten THE best response from people, you have NO idea!

We're bringing down one LuLaRoe outfit for each of the girls/young ladies at the children's home and the abused girls home. There are 28 females altogether. Our church got us 6 of the outfits and my work got us 22! My mom and dad gave a huge donation so we could purchase a couple outfits, and one of the people from work did a matching hour up to a certain amount! It was phenomenal!

I also made a wish list on Amazon for people to be able to purchase items from that I thought would be fun to take down: coloring books, crayons, baby wipes, etc. Then I was contacted by one of the workers down a CdV and she also had a list for special needs kids! I added some of her items to my list and people bought from that! AND, I had random people who saw me posting that I needed items for the kids. It has been fantastic. FOUR suitcases!!

This trip will be so fantastic! I feel like I'm taking a little bit of each person who gave to us, with me on my trip. These girls who have been through so much, lost so much, they're going to have fabulous new clothing. And the younger kids, they're going to have toys, stuffed animals, coloring books, and more. What a blessing!

One of the places we'll be going is to the hospital again. That's going to be an early morning. I'm hoping the stuffed animals will comfort the children we might see there, and also be something they can cuddle with through the night as they sleep in the grass waiting for their loved one inside who they can't visit. Yes, families live in the hospital's yard waiting while their family member receives whatever treatment they need.

While we're down there, over the next four days, I'll be doing giveaways from companies who give back just like we'll be doing while we're in Peru! Be sure to be following along on all of my social channels so that you have your entries already.
