Mixing It Up With Miallegro’s MiTutto Review: Holiday Event

I’ve been living without a blender since we moved out of my mom’s house. I left so many necessities back in Minnesota. Things I just didn’t think would be that big of a deal. Well, when I came across the MiTutto 9090 I knew I needed to try it out. I hadn’t ever used a hand blender like this before and everyone seems to love them!

It has become my favorite new kitchen gadget! It’s got multi-functions and comes with a whole bunch of accessories! I got 4 blades to blend, shop, grind, chop, etc that attach to the blender shaft. It also comes with a whisk shaft, a food processor bowl, and a wall mount. Oh how awesome to have that bowl again so I don’t have to make my salsa by chopping everything with a knife. I’ve never had a puree or aerator blade before so that will give me some fun options with food creations.

When I tried attaching the blender blade, I couldn’t get it to stay on. lol It took me a couple of tried and switching blades to realize the first blade was missing the spring that latches it in. Thankfully the PicaTutto blade chops as well, and that’s the one that helped me realize the blender blade was missing the spring.

One of the things I love to make is a fruit dip with marshmallow fluff and cream cheese. I used the whisk to blend it, even though I know the whisk itself wasn’t made for that hard of a block of cream cheese. It actually did the job pretty well and really fast!

I started off with the Turbo Power, the bigger button my finger is on in the picture above, so I could break up the cream cheese block easier. After it was pretty well mixed up, I pushed the smaller button right above it to finish whisking it together. There are 5 different speed options.

So far, this new kitchen gadget has been an awesome addition to my kitchen! Hopefully I can start getting new recipes up on the blog after the new year and the MiTutto will come in handy for most I’m sure!

Gratify Gluten Free Pretzels Review: Holiday Event

I’m a pretty big fan of pretzels and when my sample of various Graitfy gluten-free pretzels showed up, I nearly fell off my chair. I’m used to your usual, run-of-the-mill pretzels with salt on them. Other than that, I hadn’t had anything fun before!

Gratify pretzels come in a variety of flavors:

• Sea Salt
• Sesame
• Chocolate
• Yogurt

You can get the first two in twists, sticks or thins. What I love about the thins is you can use them for scooping up dip! The milk chocolate and yogurt were a great sweet snack!

We had so much we brought them with us to share with our extended family over the holiday. The basic ones were good to snack on to curb the hunger between meals, but oh goodness, the reaction to the chocolate and yogurt was pretty hysterical, especially from my niece. I’m pretty sure I could’ve eaten the yogurt ones all on my own and she would’ve had the chocolate bag finished in one sitting if she would’ve had the opportunity. They’re just that good!

I’m going to be bringing the large bags to my parents for her big party this weekend. She has everyone from her office over and I thought these would be a healthy treat. I’m thinking of picking up a dip for the thins as well. Not sure what kind would be more festive, but I’m sure I’ll find something once I get there.

Hallmark Yoda Oranament ~ Holiday Giveaway

One tradition we having in my family is that everyone gets a brand new ornament every Christmas. They have always been Hallmark ornaments because they have exactly what fits each of my kids! As my kids have grown up, and they have started having hobbies, sports, and interests that come out perfectly with the Hallmark ornaments.

With each of my four kids, they had the numbered baby ornaments. From there we went to girlie and little boy ornaments. Now we’ve made our way to young adult and tween/teen boy ornaments. I now have Fred’s kids to include in my ornament shopping.

Aside from Buddy in this collage, these are all of the ornaments I’m planning on getting for the kids this year:

Now, not to leave Buddy out, but his ornament is the one I’m blogging about this year! That kid is a Star Wars freak. I honestly can’t tell you how many times he’s watched the movies. Anything Star Wars related makes its way into the home: books, LEGOS, cartoons, etc.

The last couple of years, since his obsession started, I’ve tried to get him Star Wars related ornaments. This year, He gets LEGO Yoda! He’s going to be so stoked. When he’s older, he’ll seriously have enough ornaments to have his very own Star Wars tree!
