Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol in Imax

The only time I've ever been to an IMAX is to watch an educational movie with a school field trip. To see Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol at an Imax would be intense! I mean, that screen is HUGE! Can you imagine the all the action happening that loudly and largely? Yes, it would totally rock!

Starting December 16th, a full five days before its North American premier, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol will be shown in a mind-blowing IMAX experience in 300 theatres across the country. Join Ethan Hunt and his team of rogue IMF agents, in this awesome spy adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. With 30-minutes of scenes shot with IMAX cameras, fans will be able to enjoy certain sequences of the movie in larger than life proportions. You will be right in the action as Ethan Hunt (played by Tom Cruise) scales the worldæ„€ tallest building; the Burk Khalifa Tower in Dubai, as this and other thrilling moments expand to fit the entire IMAX screen. As an added bonus, IMAX will offer the first previews of the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises, prior to Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol.

I've seen all of the other Mission Impossible movies and it never ceases to amaze me the stunts Tom Cruise will do. In the trailer, which you have GOT to watch, they talk about people getting vertigo because it's so real while watching it in IMAX! How cool is that? I have SO got to see this movie at an IMAX! Ours is at the Minnesota Zoo, so I know exactly where to get a crew of us to have a night out!

Make sure you check out the Imax Facebook page to keep up on all the activities they have going on!

Have you ever been to an IMAX movie that wasn't educational, but on the scale of something like Mission Impossible? If so, what was it and how was your experience? Would you suggest I see it on the IMAX screen?

The only Imax movie I've seen is Inception. Not knowing what I was getting into, we had our newborn with us. Don't take a newborn to an imax!! It was pretty awseome though. I think watching Mission Impossible on an IMax would be pretty cool

I've seen lots of IMax! The most action-packed was Spider-Man and it was so cute to see my nephew simulate shooting webs from his wrists... he asked to go to the "Big movie screen" for a long time after that event.
