My Seattle Transplant Dialect In Minnesota

I live in Minnesota. I’ve been here 13 yrs the first week of April. I’m from Seattle, and I don’t believe there are any accents there. That’s probably because so many people are transplants. In the early 90s people from California were flocking to WA.
First of all, I did this around 11pm Friday night so I was in my jammies and wasn’t really “put together” to say the least. Second of all, I don’t like listening to myself. Third, I’ve never heard myself do this before, but I click my tongue…a LOT…in this video. What the heck? Why doesn’t anyone mention this kind of stuff?
I’d redo the video, but who knows how long it would take me to find a WiFi that would allow me to upload it. I had to wait until I got to a friend’s house for my phone to find an available WiFi. Sheesh…
This was taken on my Droid 2 by my 7yo son. Sorry for the bad quality! Here’s to hoping you can get through the video! LOL

Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught
What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?
What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?
What do you call gym shoes?
What do you say to address a group of people?
What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped
body and extremely long legs?
What do you call your grandparents?
What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry
groceries at the supermarket?
What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?
What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

I don't think you have an accent at all and you say things the way I do. :)

What a fun post! I can hear the "Minnesota' when you say "so", "fire" and 'sure'.

My answers would be:
TP-ing, rolly poly, soda, sneakers, either "Hey guys" or "All Y'all", Daddy Long Legs, Grammy Pepere Nonnie and Poppie, shopping cart, sun shower, and clicker!

NO accent at all from you. You sound similar to me. I've never heard of a potato bug as a roly poly until watching all the VLOGS. I looked it up on wikipedia there are tons of different words for it. How fun!

Everyone is doing this! I think it's really funny that no ones thinks they have an accent...but you can hear them. If I get time today between cleaning and cooking...I might join in too! Have a great week!

Yeah, it is dark, but I am soooo glad you joined anyways, cause I can hear you just fine so it works! So glad to hear you :)
One of the biggest differences with Mayonaise - there are three ways to say it - MAN naise, May-naise, may-o-naise :) I love hearing the differences.

LOL I had no clue about the rain one either. I guess some places call it "Sunshower" LOL

Borrow me? that is such a pet peeve of mine.
Sliding? Never heard that before. That is so funny. Thanks for that!
