Playing With my Boys: NCAA Football 12 #CBias #NCAAfootball13

My boys are gamers. I never thought it would happen, but it did. Of course I’m pretty cautious about WHAT they play. Buddy loves Star Wars type games while Doodle loves to play sports. I prefer playing sports with the boys as well.
NCAA Football 12One of the games we have fun playing is the NCAA Football 12. If the boys go to the neighbors or we go to our friends, we love taking games with us cuz we know everyone’s going to want to play! And I have to admit, I get a little competitive. You think my boys are bad when they go head to head. Yah, throw me in the mix and it’s no holds barred! Not only do we like playing football out in the yard, we like playing it on the gaming station!
NCAA Football 12We got to hang out with my good friends this weekend and of course we brought the NCAA Football 12 with us. We wanted to get some playing time in because July 10th the new version NCAA Football 13 comes out and we want to be able to compare them.EA SportsMy boys love hanging out and playing with Hunter. They look up to him and any chance they have to play with him, they jump on it! Hunter on the other hand is so great with the boys. He just lets them hang out with him and follow him around.

EA Sports  Doodle trying to give me pointers, Buddy trying to mess
him up and make me choose his play!

After a while I got tired of just watching them play and challenged my boy! Of course he understands everything waaaay better than I do so Doodle had to jump in and give me some pointers! lol I love it when he gives me a hand. He’s always trying to beat his brother, but his bro has some gaming skills!

When we have these game days and nights we always have such a great time. Sure a bit of competition comes up, but it’s all part of the night. These kinds of opportunities just bring us closer together…having fun, messing around. I love nights like this. Spending it with friends only makes the evening sweeter!
#NCAAfootball13So, now we wait another week!! NCAA Football 13 comes out with some new features. Of course we’ll have to compare the games! lol What I found out (that I can share with you) is there’s a Heisman Challenge where you can with the trophy for your school. There are 10 Heisman trophy winners to choose from!!
With the new passing game, when you play the QB position the ball trajectory is more authentic (how sweet is that?) There’s also an enhanced receiver control to make better plays on the ball as well as a new read and react defensive coverage.

One of the updates I’m excited about is the reaction time! The game slows down at key times increasing the on-field awareness and opens up more opportunities as you sense things before they happen!! AAAAAHHHH so cool!!

They also have what’s called Dynamic Dynasty where recruiting goes deeper and your recruiting grades can change each week based on your Dynasty modes. Gameday Saturday comes to live with Rece Davis in live studio updates and enhanced commentary!

My boys are pretty excited about this next piece! NCAA Football 13 has the You’re Covered program. Gamers can upload their photo online and print a custom game cover featuring their face on the body of an NCAA Football 13 player. Of course, I’ll have to call my brother to find out which Virginia Tech players the boys should choose! Here’s what it’ll look like:
NCAA_coverme13_teamsI love it!! How much would your kid or husband or guy you know love that as a gift? I know, there’s so much to be excited for. I’ll be shopping at Walmart (my home away from home) as soon as it comes out next week! Make sure you stay tuned because I’ll be sharing my thoughts on THAT new game as well as having an awesome giveaway!!

Be sure to follow EA Sports NCAA on Twitter and follow their hashtag #NCAAfootball13 as well as Collective Bias’s hashtag #CBias. That way you can keep up with all the activities!

How fun! I can't wait until my son is old enough to play video games with me.

I feel the same way, game nights bring my children and I together as well. We haven't played NCAA12 but I'm looking forward to hearing about NCAA13. We're more of a FIFA household but that NCAA13 personalized cover sounds awesome!

I'm excited about the reaction time feature, too - agree, will be so cool to see things in slow mode! Love how your boys give you pointers, mine do the same :) - but in my case, they need to LOL

I know this is awesome for guys, but for me, my eyes just glaze over. But video games in general are well loved by my gang!

My sons are huge into the sports themed games too and playing against them is just so unfair!! Okay, it isn't unfair, I'm just not very good at it! We can't wait for NCAA13 either!

I am so ready for my 3 1/2 year old son to be able to play some of these games with me! He is already getting the concept of some of them but he doesn't have the dexterity yet. He is much better playing the I-Pad or the Kindle Fire (i think he is better than me at Angry Birds....yikes!)
