Kids Konserve Review, GIVEAWAY & Discount

One of my goals, not just for this year, but forever, is to be more aware of how my family impacts the environment around us. I know that many people think being environmentally aware means you need to be hugging trees and be a vegan. Well, I disagree.

I'm not going to get preachy, but I am going to share about how I feel about the Earth that we live on. God created this world. After He created Adam, he gave Adam rule over it. God created beauty all around us, and I believe He'd like us to take care of what He's created. Look around you, He's an artist. We should take care of the canvas on which He designed remarkable creations! We shouldn't worship it, but appreciate it. And now, off my tiny soapbox and on to my review. *grin*

Our family, starting with me, is going to begin making changes. We have always recycled. Having lived in WA state, they have long been proponents of recycling. I came to MN and the recyclers only came around ONCE a month!! Can you imagine? At least now we're at every other week and it's my son's job to separate our recycling and bring it to the street.
Since the school year started, I started looking at my baggies and have decided that before the school year is through, we'll have switched to reusable packaging. This is where Kids Konserve comes in. They have a great line of products that help our kids be aware of their impact on the world around them. Kids Konserve sell Eco-Friendly, Waste-Free, and Reusable Lunch/Snack Products.

Their lunch line is fantastic. They have bags that are made from plastic bottles! Then there are the lunch sets that are completely reusable. They contain:

Reusable, waste-free lunch kit includes recycled cotton sack, cloth napkin, 304 food-grade stainless steel beverage bottle, food kozy and two 304 food-grade stainless steel food containers. Lunch Sack is 7" W x 10.5" T x 4.5".

I think my favorite item is the one that would replace my baggies: the Food Cozy! It wraps snuggly around your sandwich and can be used over and over again. That's what I'm looking for!

Now, can I share something FABULOUS with you? I feel as though I've hit a mile mark on my site. A company has created a discount especially for Woven by Words!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH I'm so thrilled. I've never had that done before! They are giving 10% off if you use the word "woven" when you check out!! This discount is good through January 31, 2010.

Do you know if your school is trying to reduce waste? Kids Konserve has a great program to help them do that! It's worth checking out and sharing with the School Superintendent/Principals. They have some great opportunities to help the environment and the school at the same time!

I would love to invite you to visit Kids Konserve and check out their awesome products. You can also find them on Twitter and Facebook!
