ThinkGeek Review & Giveaway: Graduation Week

If you’ve never been to ThinkGeek.com you are missing out on one of my favorite online stores. My brother told me about them a couple years ago when he sent me a list for Christmas and they were at the top of the list.

I don’t know if in one blog post I can convey how twisted funny this company is. If you have someone in your life who has “everything” you have NOT visited ThinkGeek. Let’s talk about some of the “items” they carry, shall we?

Ever had unicorn meat? If not, they’ve got some canned just for you! I think, “Gag”, but you know you’re kinda curious aren’t you? How about bacon? Lately all over Twitter I see people talking about bacon this and bacon that. I ask them if they’ve ever checked out the interesting selection of bacon related products at ThinkGeek and that was before I had the chance to work with them.Hang on, I need my stomach to settle down as I think of some of the bacon offerings. How about some bacon flavored envelopes or toothpaste. Ahhh, I need to gain control of myself. This stuff cracks me up! They sell, I’m telling you! People have a love affair with bacon. I have a feeling some of these may make their way into my house as my boys would live off of bacon given the chance.

Lets talk about some things that I KNOW beyond the shadow of a doubt that you or your most eclectic friend doesn’t have:

Honestly, there is no way I could begin to explain the insane selection you can find at ThinkGeek. My mom got my brother the book xkcd: volume 0 for Christmas last year. I’ve given him the t-shirt Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock.

Because ThinkGeek has a geektastic selection of Star Wars products, I asked to review the R2D2 USB Hub. My daughter and oldest son love Star Wars more than just about anyone I know. I was shocked at how large the Hub actually was in real life. So awesome! There are 4 USB ports and a plug in on the back in case you want to use a 7.5 external power supply. If you listen to the video below you’ll hear what R2 sounds like.

Did I mention my 11yo said, “I hope Smooch doesn’t go to college so I can have her R2D2.” Way to be thinking of yourself little man!At ThinkGeek you have numerous opportunities to earn Geek Stuff.
