Always a fan of suspense and previous Lynette Eason books, I was excited to join the launch team for her new series. She sent me book one that comes out Jan 4th!

EMS helicopter pilot Penny Carlton is used to high-stress situations, but being forced to land on a mountain in a raging storm with a critical patient--and a serial killer on the loose--tests her skills and her nerve to the limit. She survives with FBI Special Agent Holt Satterfield's help. But she's not out of the woods yet.

In the ensuing days, Penny finds herself under attack. And when news reaches Holt that he may not have gotten his man after all, it will take all he and Penny have to catch a killer--before the killer catches one of them.

My Review:

I'm always up for a new suspense series and loved the idea of the Life Flight.

I don't know how one character can have so much happen to them in such a short period of time, but Penny had a target on her from the start. I really liked how she didn't brook any nonsense and when push came to shove, she was taking people down. For someone who is a helicopter pilot rescuing people, she sure had to do a lot of detective work!

Speaking of, Holt and she had been getting to know each other prior to the story so when they're thrown together with the serial killer on the loose, it makes sense that they work well together, especially under the conditions they were dealing with.

I felt like I needed to take notes as I read the story with all of the twists and turns and people involved! My plumb line was always Holt and Penny. There were pieces to the story that I didn't quite connect, but overall it was a very suspenseful ride from beginning to end. The bad guy was super creepy and very twisted! The ending was definitely a surprise for me!
