"The Words I Would Say" by Sidewalk Prophets

The Words I Would Say

This is such a beautiful song. For the longest time I could NOT remember the name of the band, Sidewalk Prophets. They were a new band for me and it would not stick with me. After hearing it again on the way home from town and the DJ announcing who sang it, I won't ever forget.

About a month ago I called my 16 yr old daughter, who has not had it easy the last several years, and I said the words of the chorus to her on her voicemail:

"Be strong in the Lord

Never give up hope

You're gonna do great things

I already know.

God's got his hand on you

So don't live life in fear

Forgive and forget

But don't forget why you're here.

Take your time and pray.

These are the words I would say."

It's so vital for us to let our kids know that they're are worthwhile and precious. I'm afraid I didn't do that enough with my daughter and she can't recieve how much I truly love her. It's quite the journey we're on and I pray that she will fight the enemy and know that she's loved for the creation God made her to be.

Enjoy this beautiful song and live singing! There are other videos on YouTube that have the words with them. You can also find Sidewalk Prophets at their website, Twitter and Facebook! http://www.sidewalkprophets.com/
