Let's Have a Daddy Day

I have never met a Children's book by Karen Kingsbury that I didn't fall in love with. Dan Andreasen did an amazingly beautiful job with the illustrations.

Let's Have a Daddy Day reminds kids, and especially dads, that spending quality time with your child(ren) is so important for both of you. Karen also tells us gently that you don't need "stuff" to have a good day playing with the kids, you just need each other.

Karen has this amazing way of having the reader reflect in their hearts how precious the young years are. Any of us with older children know that the little kid years are done in the blink of an eye. I believe her intent is to pour ourselves into our children in these formative years.

Dan, the illustrator, took Karen's words and transformed them into a warm and inviting children's story. The warmth of the illustrations and the joy of being together comes through so wonderfully!

Who knows, maybe you'll be like me and have a tear in your eye as you read the last page.
