Of the Earth Jewelry Review & Mother’s Day Event

logo Of the Earth Jewelry is a beautiful Etsy shop created by Randee. Here’s what she says about her Shop:

Handmade Copper, Wire Wrapped, and Beaded Jewelry Inspired by Nature

Jewelry making is a passion come to life. With inspiration from 10 years of experience as a floral designer and a love of nature, I created Of the Earth Jewelry.

I hope you enjoy my unique creations! Feel free to message me if you have any questions or would like to know more about my work!

Initial necklace When I first visited Of the Earth Jewelry I was taken in by the Verdigris birds she uses in her creations. The coloring she uses to finish the bird to give it the blue/green color makes me think Old English, countryside, and antiques. There’s nothing antique about these works of art.

I love how she can intertwine her ideas with birds and nests, birds and initials, nests and birds and initials, nests and charms. The ideas are limitless, especially with the nest egg color options. Aside from choosing which piece of jewelry to review, choosing the color eggs that would go well together was difficult for me.ringRandee was so helpful. Having the beads in front of her she is able to group them together to see if they’d work or clash. I wanted to have 4 eggs representing each of my kids. I wanted to go with their favorite colors:

  • Baby: pink
  • Smooch: unsure, maybe black (I know, it’s a shade)
  • Buddy: orange
  • Doodle: gold (yah, he would)

I explained to Randee what I was trying to accomplish and sent her my ideas from her color palate. She emailed me back with the colors she thought would compliment each other and I have say, I absolutely adore my necklace.IMG_5823 IMG_6062On her site I appreciate that with a few of her pieces she shows the item being worn. There’s one necklace that I liked looking at it as a snapshot, but when I saw it on her I knew it was too bulky for me. It’s something my oldest daughter would absolutely adore though. Before I looked through her rings photos I thought they’d be big chunky rings. Thankfully she shows them on her beautiful (I’m jealous) hand and realized they aren’t as big as I thought! I think this is a vital part of selling jewelry on Etsy because it gives the potential buyer and idea of what it really looks like.

For Mother’s Day I think a set including a ring, necklace, earrings, and bracelet would be beautiful.initial bird nest*I received my necklace for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own and are never influenced by the company.

Randee will be participating in the Mother’s Day event so keep your eyes out for it!
