Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kmart for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I realize it's only September, but I'm already looking ahead to purchasing holiday gifts for my kids. As a single mom, I have a very limited income and have to plan ahead for events and holidays such as Christmas. Thankfully, Kmart has a layaway program that I think would come in extremely handy.

Both of my boys are big Lego fans and it seems that's become their big ticket present each year. Kmart has a set each of the boys wants and I can't afford to drop $60 on a Lego set all at once. It's just not in my budget. But with free layaway I can get the item and by the time Christmas rolls around, it will have been paid for! The boys each have their favorite line. Buddy loves Star Wars and Doodle likes Ninjago.

What's even better is Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway! There's one layaway giveaway every week at each store! This goes 9/9/12 through 11/17/12 so that's plenty of time for me to maybe pick up one item for each of my family members and enter to win! Make sure to read the official rules at http://www.kmart.com/layaway/sbh?#tab5

I'm glad there's a Kmart that I can do these layaways with because then it means I've got the gifts secured and I don't have to be concerned about running from store to store as we near the holidays. I know that other stores like Walmart and Best Buy don't have any programs like this so that makes my choices much easier!

Have you even considered what you're going to get for friends and family yet for the holidays?

Well I guess Wal-Mart learned their lesson after K-Mart did Lay-Away last year and they didn't...noticed yesterday they have begun their own Lay-Away, again, this year. But I still prefer K-Mart. I have no idea who or what I am buying this year except area rugs for our house and possibly a rug cleaner. Otherwise, I'm stuck. LOL

I have already started contemplating holiday gifts as well.... we're a one income household and with three little girls to buy for I am definitely going to look into this layaway plan. It definitely would make the holidays much less stressful. Thanks for sharing!

I love that layaway is making a comeback. Given the economy and state of the debt crisis I am proud of Kmart for encouraging people to shop within their means but allowing people to purchase bigger ticket items without interest!

I love this option. It forces you to automatically save for a purchase, little by little, instead of putting it on a credit card and dealing with the bills (and interest, etc) later. Thanks for sharing the info!

It's great they have this option available.
