When I first heard about Alphabet Photography, I was excited to play around with their letting and wording. There were so many ideas and phrases to consider!
I was thinking about using my last name for our home, but I’m divorced now and hope to get married again some day so that just wasn’t an option. Then I considered using the names of my kids individually, but how would I choose just one kid’s name out of my four?
Since I’m redoing my kitchen, or at least was before I decided to move, I thought the words COFFEE would be perfect since I wanted the theme to be around coffee! Maybe when I have my next home or if I come back here and finish what I started.
I thought I’d give one to my parents and have it say “The Carlsons”, but decided that would be a perfect Christmas present! I honestly wanted to have some art work for myself. I know, greedy & selfish, but that’s how I roll.
If I’d have known about the company a couple of months ago, I would have ordered a print for my co-worker who just got married. Several of us went in on a gift, but this would have been so much more personal! Now I know for next time…say if and when my brother gets married!
I’m also in a couple of tight knit blogging groups and I know a couple of our blogging buddies are pregnant. Wouldn’t this Alphabet Photography be perfect for a gift to the parents? Maybe with the name and birth date of their baby?
I mean, there are just SO many ideas! I have to admit, this is where I started having issues, too. lol Good issues, mind you! I don’t get obsessive about much, ever. I went a bit overboard with this. I kept trying different names and phrases. After I picked something, then I dove into the the letter choices.
I didn’t want to have any of the letters the same in design. I also didn’t want them looking too similar either, BUT I did want them to flow. I tried to find different types of buildings for letters, but that wasn’t working for me. All metal but the lettering I wanted? Nope. lol I was driving my own self nuts. I mean, there are SO many good ones to choose from in each letter.
I finally decided on the phrase “By Grace” from Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly this shipped. It came in a well wrapped package with thick bubble wrap. When I pulled it out, there was a beautiful Thank You card attached. I love these little “extras”!
As soon as I pulled it out I knew exactly where it was going to go. Right at the top of my stairs so when you come into the house and look up, it’s the first thing you see. I want those who enter my home to know that we’re a family of faith and this definitely sends that message right away!
The frame is a 3” solid wood frame with a dark Chocolate finish accented with gold leaf. The gold leaf adds a touch of elegance to the art work! The picture hanging wire on the back is firmly secured with a good gauge wire and you can tell it’s going to stay exactly where you hang it!
I would love to have one in my Family Room that says "Family” and put pictures of my kids around it! Ooooo maybe take our extra room that I want to make into a sports room and I can get one that says “Vikings” and one that says “Twins”. Really, the ideas are building for each room. I could have my Twitter name MimiBakerMN or the name of my site over my computer! See…WovenbyWords:
And yes, I love that I could add the ♥ in my phrase (see below) in the Alphabet Photography art piece that I received. They have a few heart options as well as the ampersand! So, you could have one that said “Dennis & Jane” or “Dennis♥Jane”. You could put that art work above your bed!
I was also pleased to see they have a Christian Inspiration art work series! Yes, personally I think it’s wonderful and it would be a great way to bless your pastor or and Elder/Deacon who has touched your life.
The perfect customized gift that includes photographs from all over the world, this is the original Alphabet Photography. Celebrity owners include: Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate, Tyra Banks, Ryan Seacrest, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, John Schneider, Nelly Furtado, and many more!
